Hello and welcome, readers! We have Tricia Schneider here with us today. Tricia, thanks for visiting us.
Thank you for sharing your corner of the internet with me today!
How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?
I’ve been writing since I was a teenager. I wrote my first novel during summer vacation when I was 15, inspired by a strange dream that I had one night. It was a fantasy romance, one that I still think of often. My first book was published in 2010 by The Wild Rose Press, and I’ve been publishing books ever since.
Tell us about your title featured in: Sweeter Than Chocolate: Valentine’s Day Anthology.
My book is a paranormal ghost romance called Her Haunted Valentine. It’s about a woman named Wendy who is searching for Mr. Right. A friend sets her up on a blind date for Valentine’s Day. Magnus appears instead and sweeps her off her feet. But she doesn’t suspect at first that the sweet and charming Magnus is a ghost.
How did you come up with the storyline?
I got the idea a few years ago around Valentine’s Day. I had been thinking about what might happen to a woman who fell in love with a ghost. The scene of her waiting for a blind date popped into my head. Slowly, the rest fell into place.
What inspires you to write?
There’s an urge somewhere deep inside me to write the images that I see in my head. It’s always been there. However, my children inspire me to pursue publishing those stories. I’ve always wanted to be an author. It wasn’t until I became a mother that I began to seriously pursue publication. I want to teach my kids that dreams can come true. I also want them to be proud of me.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Romance. Anything romance. I need the guarantee of a happily-ever-after. I’m also drawn to spooky stuff. I love vampires, witches, werewolves and ghosts. So paranormal romance is a perfect fit for me. And my passion for history leads me to historical romance. My absolute favorite is when those two subgenres are blended together.
What would you say is the one thing are you most passionate about outside of writing?
Traveling. I love to see new places. I’ve traveled to two countries as well as almost every state in the eastern USA. My goal is to go back to Europe. I love visiting castles and learning the history of those countries. They make wonderful settings for stories!
When you are not writing, what do you like to do?
Spending time with my four kids. I’ve got three boys and a girl between the ages of 13 and 4. When they’re not driving me crazy, they make me laugh. Sometimes both at the same time! I like to take them on road trips as often as possible, even if it’s just as simple as a trip to B&N which for us is about an hour away. We explore our area of Pennsylvania, and I enjoy teaching them the local history. I enjoy learning more of it, too.
I’m also a volunteer graveyard photographer. I travel to local cemeteries and take photos of gravestones to record for genealogy sites and anyone who is searching for relatives or ancestors. I started by seeking my own buried family members while researching my family tree. My kids like to help me with these projects, too, so it’s become more of a family hobby in the summer months.
Tell us about your other books.
I write novels, novellas and short stories with both sweet and steamy heat levels. Most of my stories reflect my passion for history and the supernatural.
The Merriweather Witches are paranormal romances set in Regency era England about a family of witches. I also have a few pirate romances as well as several other standalone paranormal romances.
My newest series is about a family of cougar shifters which begins with Loving Boone. I have 4 more paranormal romances scheduled for release in the next few months.

About the Author:
Tricia Schneider is a full-time dreamer who writes romance novels and short stories. She’s been an archaeologist, a spaceship captain and a vampire hunter. She’s sailed the Seven Seas with sexy pirates and danced the night away with Prince Charming. Before the supernatural took possession of her pen, she worked as Assistant Manager and bookseller at Waldenbooks. She firmly believes there is a book for everyone. From werewolves and witches to pirates and Regency lords, she escapes into sensual stories where happily-ever-after is a guarantee.
Tricia lives in Pennsylvania with her four children and two rescued cats. When she’s not typing away on her laptop, she’s riding shotgun in a ’67 Impala while keeping her eyes open for a madman in a Big Blue Box.
